Mateasse Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions
Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash. They are denominated in Canadian dollars. They are exercised by means of a code provided to the recipient who places orders on our website in order to make use of the certificate. Purchases are deducted from the balance. The unused balance after any purchase will continue to be available to the recipient for purchases on line in the future, but is not redeemable for cash. If an order exceeds the amount of the gift card, the balance must be paid with a credit card or other available payment method. Recipients will be able to check their balance online. The risk of loss passes to the purchaser/recipient upon our electronic transmission of the Gift Certificate to the recipient. We are not responsible if a Gift Card is lost or stolen or used without the permission of the purchaser or the recipient. It is the recipient's responsibility to ensure security of the code or other information required to use the card.
The sale and use of Mateasse Gift Certificates is governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada. However, you may have other rights, which vary by jurisdiction. Residents of Quebec are governed by that province’s consumer protection legislation. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights except to the extent permitted by law. Mateasse reserves the right to change any of the terms and conditions without notice, by posting the new terms and conditions to our website.
