General Steeping Recommendations

White tea steep in 70 to 75 °C (158 to 167 °F) water for 1~2 minutes, 3 infusions

Yellow tea steep in 70 to 75 °C (158 to 167 °F) water for 1~2 minutes, 3 infusions

Green tea steep in 75 to 80 °C (167 to 176 °F) water for 1~2 minutes, 3 infusions

Oolong tea, rinse the tea with hot water and discard the liquid immediately, then steep in 80 to 88 °C (176 to 190 °F) water for 1~2 minutes, 3~6 infusions

Black tea steep in 85~95 °C (185~ 203 °F) water for 2~3 minutes, 1 infusion

Pu-er tea, rinse the tea with hot water and discard the liquid immediately, steep in 95 to 100 °C (203 to 212 °F) water for 1~3 minutes, multiple infusions

Each brew brings a different flavoring experience; initially tender and fresh, and after some time, aromatic and sweet. But if you let the tea infuse too long it will produce a bitter taste.
